The United Nations Secretary General's remarks at the ceremony marking the International Day of Commemoration in memory of the victims of the Holocaust, 75 years after the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, remind that we must reaffirm our values with greater conviction than ever today, as they come under attack from all sides. As we work to live up to the promise of “Never again”, we need to examine our own prejudices; guard against the misuse of our own technology; and be alert to any signs that hatred is being normalized.
