As part of the Joint Program of the Government of Switzerland and the United Nations "Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) for Sustainable Development in Bosnia and Herzegovina", a three-day disaster simulation exercise was held in Prijedor from November 28 to 30, 2022, concluding with a demonstration of a rescue operation in realistic conditions and providing first aid.

United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) have received funding from the Global Environment Facility (GEF) to implement the joint project to create an enabling environment to support the implementation of Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN) target in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in the next two years.
