Peacebuilding Highlights in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Welcome to Peacebuilding Highlights, a platform dedicated to highlighting efforts and fostering collaboration to advance peace, trust, and social cohesion in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including initiatives supported by the United Nations Secretary-General’s Peacebuilding Fund (PBF).
In this first edition, we focus on key PBF initiatives, including Women, Peace, and Security (WPS); Youth, Peace, and Security (YPS), and programs that seek to build trust between local institutions and communities. These efforts build upon long-standing partnerships between the UN, government, civil society and local communities, reinforcing local ownership, sustainability, and inclusiveness. The PBF is dedicated to fostering peace and reconciliation by supporting projects that promote social cohesion, inclusive dialogue, and resilience across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Through these newsletters, we aim to share stories from the ground, highlight ongoing initiatives, and offer space for collaboration—amplifying local voices and efforts that are shaping a more peaceful future.
We invite you to explore this first edition and welcome your contributions to help strengthen the impact and visibility of peacebuilding in BiH. Future editions will continue to amplify the voices and experiences of peacebuilders across the country, inspiring renewed commitment to lasting peace.
