.
The third edition of Peace Vibe Fest took place in Sarajevo from 25 to 28 August, bringing together young people from different communities across Bosnia and Herzegovina through creative workshops, art, music, conversations and joint activities. A special part of the festival programme was the premiere of the song “Novi ritam mladih” (A New Rhythm of Youth).
Over the four-day festival, participants took part in music, theatre and social media workshops, as well as simulations exploring peacebuilding in everyday situations. These activities gave them an opportunity to collaborate, exchange experiences and create together.
The programme also included a performance of theatre play “Offline”, produced by Studio Teatar in cooperation with the Bosnian National Theatre Zenica as part of the “Možemo bolje” project. Participants visited the War Childhood Museum and the “Planet Sarajevo” Museum and took part in a range of activities designed to help them get to know one another and connect.
One of the festival’s central moments was the premiere of “Novi ritam mladih” (A New Rhythm of Youth), a song created as part of the “Možemo bolje” project in collaboration with the art collective and hip-hop band Helem Nejse. The song focuses on young people, the connections they build and their shared desire to bring about positive change, while Peace Vibe Fest participants were the first audience to hear it.
Peace Vibe Fest once again provided young people from different parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina with a space to meet, exchange experiences and discuss issues important to them through joint activities. The festival concluded with their shared message: “A peaceful future is our shared responsibility,” emphasizing that building a peaceful future requires connection, cooperation and the active participation of young people from across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Peace Vibe Fest was organized as part of the “Empowering Trust and Cohesion in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Communities – „Možemo bolje” project, funded by the European Union’s Service for Foreign Policy Instruments under the Neighbourhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument. The project is jointly implemented by the European Union, the United Nations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Council of Europe Office in Sarajevo.
